Remembrance Weekend at Heligan

With Remembrance Sunday approaching, we invite staff and visitors alike to join us in remembering the brave men who fought for our freedom in World War One.

In August of 1914, 13 men from the Heligan Estate would go to war, nine would sadly pass away, four returning but never to work at Heligan.

At 11am on both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November, Heligan Gardeners will down tools and visitors will pause for two minutes of silence and reflection.

On Remembrance Sunday, the gardens will open at 10am with all proceeds from garden admission ticket sales being donated to The British Legion.

For our Heligan Members and Local Pass holders, we encourage you to donate £2 upon arrival at the Heligan Ticket Office.

We encourage you to each take a Paperwhite flower from the Tickets Office and to lay it in a spot that’s special to you in your moment of reflection.
