Heligan Soup Month is Back!

Soup has proved such a popular dish throughout time that some consider it to be one of the first ‘fast foods’! As early as 20,000 BC it is documented that the Greeks sold soup on the streets, using peas, beans and lentils as the main ingredients.

There are many different variations on the theme of soup, each offering a wide range of nutritional benefits. Heligan’s soups are created using only fresh, Heligan grown and local produce, free of any additives or preservatives and simply brimming with wholesome goodness.

Whilst winter still has us in its cold and icy grip, what better than a big hot bowl of homemade soup to chase away the chills. Come and sit by the log burner and warm your cockles with these delicious, hearty, seasonal soups.

Heligan Dexter Beef goulash, curried cauliflower and parsnip and apple are just some of the mouth-watering combinations that will be available throughout ‘Heligan Soup Month’.

In addition to the daily soup selection, Heligan will continue to provide its daily menu of seasonal home-cooked lunches as well as the popular Sunday Roast Day. The Heligan Kitchen, with its warm and friendly atmosphere and roaring wood burner is the perfect escape from the chilly winter days.

Heligan’s soups are available daily between 12pm and 2.30pm and are served with a freshly baked roll or a cheese scone from the Heligan Bakery (gluten free bread is always available!).

The Kitchen, car park and facilities are open daily to all and are free of any admission charge.
