Sat Nav

Please be aware that Sat Nav devices tend to take you along the most direct route and often down a network of single track Cornish lanes; which can be unsuitable for larger vehicles and those not used to driving such roads. We therefore advise that whichever your direction of approach, travelling via St Austell and following the brown tourist signs will be the easiest way to find us.

By Bicycle

The Lost Gardens are directly linked to National Cycle Network Route Number 3, providing a safe, virtually traffic-free link to Mevagissey, Pentewan and St Austell.

Should you be staying in the nearby area and looking to explore by bicycle then Pentewan Cycle Hire is conveniently located in the nearby village of Pentewan and is positioned on the aforementioned Cycle Route.

To anyone arriving at the gardens by bicycle, we have a dedicated cycle park within our main car park (located near the entrance) as well as a number of secure lockers (located by the toilets) where you are free to store bags and equipment whilst you explore the gardens.

At the Ticket Office, please make staff aware of your mode of transport to gain a small discount on your admission charge. We like to reward those who reach us in a sustainable way.

On Foot

We are just 1.5 miles from the South West Coast Path. Whether you are walking from the east or the west, the nearby villages of Pentewan and Mevagissey offer the perfect detour points for you to link up to the footpaths and cycleways that lead you to The Lost Gardens.
