Movement Method Training with Rupert Isaacson

  • 26 - 27 Oct: 9:30am - 5pm

For the first time in Cornwall, Rupert ”Ru” Isaacson, the world famous Horse Breeder and trainer is coming to teach his pioneering and life changing “Movement method” training. He first introduced it to the world in his Sunday Times best-selling book and film,  “The Horse Boy”, the story of his extraordinary ride, with his young highly autistic son, across Mongolia which culminated in a near miraculous recovery.  Subsequently Rupert’s passion has been to introduce individuals, groups and schools, to the science and activities behind The Movement Method. His insights into the remedial and health giving power of movement, both on and off the horse, sees a transformation in all who participate.

The course is specially designed to be undertaken by those who might be parents with neuro diverse children. Teachers exploring how better to communicate with neuro diverse youngsters and those with interests in, or conditions that might benefit from the training. No equine experience is necessary as the learnings have been translated into a non-riding framework. It is an intense learning experience for which reason, numbers are limited to allow for optimum personal interaction.

This two day course comes to Heligan after several of the Heligan team visited his stables and dressage ring in Frankfurt and came away deeply impressed and committed to putting this healing process into the hands of an ever growing number of practitioners and making it available to people everywhere struggling to feel at ease with the world.

Rarely do we have a chance to learn things which can transform our lives and those of others, but this is a moment.

We are not interested in a big “sell”. We simply want everyone who feels ready to embrace a new talent and gift to be encouraged to come for a transformative two days with the Master of the craft. His groundbreaking work increasing wellbeing and learning capacity and the development of teaching methods using horses, sensory stimulation and bringing nature into the classroom has delivered impressive outcomes. At a time when we are waking up to neurodiversity the Movement Method is a window into an holistic connection between nature, play, learning and…wellbeing.
