Wildflower Identification Day

Join Wal Eyre from Three Bays Wildlife Group and Heligan Wildlife Coordinator, Toby Davies on this Wildflower Identification Day at The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

  • 7 Jun: 10am (please arrive for 9:30am) - 3pm

Join Wal Eyre from Three Bays Wildlife Group, with Heligan’s Wildlife Coordinator Toby on this wildflower identification day at The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

After an indoor classroom session, follow us on a wildflower exploration of Park-An-Lan field then to the traditionally managed hay meadow of Gillysame.

On the wildflower identification day, you may see wildflowers such as Yellow Rattle, Cuckoo Flower, Lesser Stitchwort, Common Birds-Foot Trefoil, Common Cowslip and Germander Speedwell to name just a few.

Attendees are more than welcome to bring their own wildflower ID guides with them if they please.

A donation from ticket sales will then go to Three Bays Wildlife Group.

Please note that this event does not include garden admission. If you would like to explore the gardens after the wildflower event, please purchase garden admission, or have your Heligan membership/local passes with you on the day.

On the day we advise that our guests meet us at the ticket office at 9:30am, where we’ll walk down to the Stewards House to begin our day at 10am. Also, we advise our participants to come dressed for the Cornish weather and wear sturdy footwear
