Heligan Is Once Again Victorious!

The announcement was made on 29th November at a glamorous Gala Awards ceremony, held in East London and attended by more than a thousand travel industry professionals.

British Travel Awards’ chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "The Lost Gardens of Heligan is to be congratulated on winning the Best UK Leisure Attraction. The British Travel Awards is the largest consumer voted awards programme in the world and this year 722,473 votes were cast by the travelling public to determine the winners and to win is truly an accolade and a badge of excellence."

It wasn’t just a great night for us but for Cornwall as a whole! Cornwall secured the award for Best UK Holiday Destination. Malcolm Bell, chief executive of Visit Cornwall comments, “Last night was an amazing evening for Cornwall and a testament to the incredible amount of hard work from across the tourism industry. With Cornwall retaining its crown as the Best UK Holiday Destination for a record-breaking ninth time, The Lost Gardens of Heligan winning the Best UK Leisure attraction and Bude winning silver for Best Coastal Town, Cornwall did exceptionally well and everyone should be thrilled with these achievements.”
